Mac is home!

Mac is home!

This is a story of listening to the Holy Spirit.

As a born-again Believer in Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit is inside of us (1 Cor. 1:30).

Jesus said I must go away so I will send to you a comforter (John 16:7).

The Holy Spirit is a guide unto us (Rom. 8:26-27, John 16:13).

He directs us and leads us –  if we’ll listen – into the SUPERNATURAL, MIRACULOUS, GREATER!
Gal. 5:25,
1 Cor. 2:13
Rom. 8:14
1 Cor. 6:17

Today was an example of some times the Holy Spirit is ever so slight and gentle - a slight nudge.

When we slow down and “listen” - God, through the Holy Spirit, directs us.
John 16:13

It was around 9:15 - 9:30 am this morning and I looked up the drive and the tractor implement truck was coming down the drive.  A thought (the Holy Spirit directing) came to me – “go get your clothes on in case someone comes to the door”.   I was still in my pajamas and I attempted to argue with myself . . . “Mark has already told them what he needs, they never come in”.

I chose to listen to the first leading and went in and got my clothes on.

Right as I DID - there was a “knock” at the door.  I could see the implement company was out working with the tractor and I wondered who it was.

I immediately thanked the Holy Spirit for directing me to get dressed and walked to the door.

It was our neighbor.  He said he was out looking for his daughter’s dog, Mac.  After they let him out this morning to potty he hadn’t yet returned.  We talked a bit and then we spoke a blessing out loud declaring Mac would be found . . .  “Holy Spirit, bring him home”!

About that time his phone rang.  It was his daughter asking him if he had found Mac yet.  He said no but that we were all looking for him.  Their family was out and about TOO - ALL on the hunt for Mac!

I immediately was stirred!  It was a direction to go out and look for him!!

I told him that I was going to go riding (direction of the Holy Spirit) and I would look for him.  We visited for a bit and he left.

I came in, got my water, my phone and put the dogs away and the thought (my own thought and not the Holy Spirit) – “I wonder if I should get on the 4-wheeler and ride around the property?”

I IMMEDIATELY sensed – “ride your bike”.

So off I go on my bike.

I get to the end of our drive and the thought (the Holy Spirit) directs me to turn left out of the drive and go that direction (John 10:3-4).

That’s what came FIRST!

The Holy Spirit comes first!  Then thoughts of doubt (satan) our flesh and reasoning come afterwards.

Just this last week at Champions4Christ, Pastor Nate taught on this very subject.  Now, how amazing is God to position me to hear and “catch” this divine message on listening and discerning the voice of the Holy Spirit!  Glory to God!

So, what I caught from Pastor Nate was how we learn from Genesis 2:16 - 17 that God and the Holy Spirit comes FIRST.  He gives direction and clarification.  He gave Eve direction and clarification.

THEN satan comes to try to steal and say . . . “did God really say that”?

See Genesis 3:1.  The serpent asked Eve in Genesis 3:1 – “did God really say . . . “?

Then in Genesis 3:5 Eve starting reasoning – trying to create her own way.

Satan is a liar and brings confusion.  We see in John 10:10 that satan ALWAYS comes to steal.  He is NOT a creator of Love, Light or Life, therefore he brings confusion to try to get us to not walk in Faith Believing – which is the VICTORY and GREATNESS in which we were created!

BUT GOD!

We learn in the last part of John 10:10 the VICTORY we have . . . “But I (Jesus) have come that they may have LIFE , and that they may have it MORE ABUNDANTLY”!

Cha ching!

So here I am on my bike heading down the road.  I listen to the Holy Spirit and turn left.  This is a direction I hardly ever go on my bike – like ever.

So I’m listening to Praise and Worship on my phone and just enjoying the Lord!

I’m praying and believing “WE WILL FIND MAC”!

I’m sure of it!  I’m confident of it!  There is PEACE and VICTORY!

I’m tooling along and I get a couple miles from the house and fear wants to come upon me.  Ugly thoughts of what about this? Lie!  What about that? Lie!  Blah!  Blah!  Blah!  Like some whacky warfare craziness is wanting to come upon me!  WHAT THE HECK!

Fear is not of God!  EVER!!

II Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear
but of
POWER,
LOVE
and
A SOUND MIND!

I began praying in the Holy Spirit and binding fear in the Name of Jesus!

At this point I get to CHOOSE to release my God-given power and authority of Faith in the Name of Jesus and CHOOSE to believe - no matter how I feel that “we’re going to find Mac” and I am totally 100% safe!

So, I’ve been riding a while and sense to start heading back towards the house (leading of the Holy Spirit).

Fear has now left!  At this point I’m not even thinking about any type of lack or ugly.

Hallelujah!!

I took authority in the Name of Jesus over my feelings and emotions – through the Power of the Holy Spirit!

Slayed that liar!

I continued to pray in the Holy Ghost!  I’m just Praising and Worshippng the Lord!  Oooooooh, the Glory of the Lord!  We be praisin’ some Jesus now!!!

*****

So, I’m tooling along and Praising and Worshiping!

ALL OF THE SUDDEN!

It was a SUDDENLY!!

Ha!  Ha!  Ha!

Just like Paul and Silas in Acts 16:26 . . . “SUDDENLY”!

SUDDENLY . . . I look behind me and here comes Mac!

Yesssssss!  He’s panting and running just as hard as he can to catch me!

I STOP and pick him up and HUG him and jump around dancing and praising God ALL THE MORE!

Mac is HOME right now with his family!  He is most loved and he is a happy and blessed pup!

Thank You, Holy Spirit, for guiding my steps!

Thank You!  Thank You!  Thank You!

We are GRATEFUL and Praise You, Lord!

Here are a few things we can learn from today's journey and Mac!

#1       Some times the Holy Spirit comes as an ever so soft thought.
a.     Trust the first thought!  It’s the Holy Spirit!  Trust and follow!
b.     Walk it out in Faith Believing!
#2       When trusting by Faith Believing your steps are ordered and protected!
a.     God’s anointing and protection have us covered!
b.     Walk it out in Faith Believing!
#3       Fear is not of God and we have the authority and power to bind it!
a.      It’s a choice.  We get to choose to Believe God and His Word!
b.     Walk it out in Faith Believing!
#4       There is always VICTORY in Jesus and listening to the Holy Spirit!

He loves us and even cares about our animals!
